The Federal Police Department of Maritime Security
The Federal Police Department of Maritime Security are responsible for the border-police protection of the Federal Republic of Germany its 435 miles (700 km) of border in the North and Baltic Seas.
The Federal Customs Administration
The maritime control units of the Federal Customs Administration monitor the movement of goods across the EU´s external borders.
The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food
The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) is responsible for fishery protection. It runs a fleet of three oceangoing fishery protection vessels to monitor compliance with national and international legal provisions on fishery.
